A visit to the farmer's market tomorrow, and I think I will be a full-on hippy.

Dave and I saw An Inconvenient Truth at the Academy of Music on Wednesday night. It was a really great film and, though it was sort of scary to see how close we are to totally screwing the environment, we left the theater feeling like there was still hope that we can fix some of the damage we've done. The Center for Ecological Technology was sort of hosting the film and had lots of information on how to save energy and reduce your carbon dioxide emissions, including how to sign up for green energy from your electric company. I signed us up yesterday morning, since I figured out it would cost about another $7 a month to do so. Not bad, eh?

PSNH down in my area is converting to wood-burning instead of oil-burning. I don't know if they can completely switch but I know they're aiming for a majority of their energy to be produced by burning wood within the next few years. It makes me happy. But I wish there was more I could do. Without cash, I still feel relatively helpless. I did buy the energy-saving lightbulbs though. :)
