I am a bad blogger.
How long has it been? Quite a while, I believe. It took some time to get my schedule sorted out this semester and, in the end, I'm happy with it. I end up being at UMass pretty much all day, Monday through Friday, but my work load should be more or less manageable. I have lots of reading to do at any given moment, but I will only have two (rather than three) giant papers to write at the end of the semester. I've also begun taking Arabic, which is cool but hard. Aside from the alphabet being really complicated to write (for me), the pronunciation is really hard. So far, we're nearing the end of the alphabet and learning a few words and expressions. It's kind of overwhelming. I found Hebrew to be much easier, but Arabic is more relevant to what I am studying.
The bigger news is that we're moving to a new apartment right downtown. This is mostly exciting because it's a fantastic deal and I think we can stay there for a while. Plus it's very close to the bus stop, which will be nice for me in snowy, cold weather. We're moving November 1st, so we suddenly have to start packing- which is kind of scary to think about with all my school work. Another fun tidbit about our move: it mostly seems to involve shuffling drummers from one place to another.
