Second coffee of the week.
I have one, much shorter, paper to write by Wednesday. It needs to be 12 to 15 pages, and I have about four or five. And I have a pretty good sense of the direction I'm taking with it, so I am somewhat hopefull that I might be at the point of revising it by Monday morning. We'll see! Not having to attend or teach classes really makes all the difference in the world with this kind of work. Unfortunately, this paper is in Spanish, so I'm on my own with the editing, unless I find someone from UMass who's not that busy... which is very unlikely. Regardless, by Wednesday I'll be finished with all my work for the semester and will have a little break before Hampshire January Term starts up.
I seem to have decided to celebrate this by making an appointment on Wednesday afternoon for that long-awaited tattoo... Its been five years since my first one, so I'm a little nervous. Do you think I've prepped myself for the pain by taking up leg-waxing this year?
I'm not there yet, though. I need to go spend a couple of hours in the Smith Library before taking a break to attend my first (sorry I missed yours, Dave and Jen) holiday party of the season! (Hence the coffee.)
