If only because they have a record called "Goodbye Enemy Airship the Landlord is Dead"
While I am very excited to be heading to New Hampshire this weekend for my grandmother's 80th birthday, I'm a little sad to have to miss the Do Make Say Think show at Pearl Street on Saturday night. I absolutely love this band and really enjoyed the show I saw in Boston a couple of years ago (with our friends The Mobius Band opening). So, if you're in Northampton this weekend, go see Do Make Say Think for me!

What do "Papa" and I have in common?
A few weeks ago I said to Dave, "I need a new bag to use for school. I want something that's like a big tote bag, but is a little bit padded, for my laptop, and that has some little pockets on the inside. I just can't find anything like it."
The next day, I happened upon Nanda and their lapsac. Guess what? It's a big tote bag, that's a little bit padded, and has a big side pocket for a laptop, and little pockets on the inside. Perfect!
It was a little bit more expensive than I wanted, but I ordered it and it has been exactly the right bag for grad school. It can even handle my longest days, with the biggest combinations of books. Once in a while I get nervous that the straps won't be secure enough for a really heavy load, but so far, so good.
The next purchase from that site will obviously have to be clocky.
